Batam

Batam is one of the island in indonesia which close to Singapore & Malaysia. It is the 3rd most tourist destination in indonesia after Jakarta & Bali. Tourist are come from all over the world, but since it is close to malaysia and singapore most of the tourist are from those 2 country.

Beside Tourist, Batam is an industrial area. A lot of Overseas Investor mainly from Shipyard, Farmining, oil & Minnering. Those bring alot of Expart (overseas worker) stay in batam which make batam more colorful with variety of people, country and race.

For Tourist attraction, since 2010 Batam goverment are pushing hard in promoting Batam as one of Tourtist destination. Lots of facilities from building infrastruction such as Road, Transport and event that could attract tourist. Wherelse of course Visa for those are given with easy process such as Visa on Arrival etc.

Transportation There are 2 way to get to Batam, either by Air or by Sea.

By Sea,

If you come from overseas you can either take a ferry from singapore (Habour Front / Tanah Merah) or malaysia (Johor / situlang) to Batam.

By Air,

There are alot of direct Frights from either jakarta / bali / medan etc, Lately there are also a direct fright from China to Batam.
